The recent issue affecting the Prudential Contract Enquiry service has now been fixed.

To apply the fix on your system, please upgrade your client-Assyst application to version 6.6.4.0. Our Assyst Support Team will contact you to assist with this update. Once the upgrade is complete, Prudential enquiries will process correctly again.

Alternatively, you can schedule a session with us at your convenience by raising a ticket via our WhatsApp Support, and our team will assist you with the update.

What You Need to Know:

Details:

We would like to provide you with an urgent update regarding the Contract Enquiry services from Quilter and Royal London.

We have received information from Quilter of their intention to decommission their Contract Enquiry service. They haven’t given a definitive date for this but have indicated their intention is to do so in February 2026.

Royal London has also advised us that they plan to retire their Contract Enquiry service towards the end of 2026.

As you are aware, we have now launched Wealth Assyst, the cloud version of client-Assyst. We will also be going live with Bulk Valuation services in Wealth Assyst via Origo very soon. Both providers have integration with Origo to provide bulk valuations.

What You Need to Know
Both providers will continue to provide bulk valuation services. We are in discussions with both providers about their ongoing plans.

Microsoft Azure has announced that support for the Remote Desktop Client for Web browser will end on 17 November 2025.
This change affects all users running Assyst Software on Azure Virtual Desktop via the Remote Desktop Web Client. To ensure uninterrupted access and continued support for remote access features, you are requested to migrate from the Web Client to the Windows App on Web before the deadline.

What You Need to Know:

  • After 17 November 2025, the Web Client will no longer be supported by Microsoft.

  • Continued access to your virtual machine and Assyst Software will require the Windows App.

How to Set Up the Windows App to Access a Virtual Machine (VM):

  1. Install the Windows App

  2. Sign In using your Microsoft 365 or Azure AD credentials.

  3. Connect – Click Connect to log in to your virtual machine.

  4. Install client-Assyst – Inside your virtual machine, click the client-Assyst icon to complete installation.

  5. Once installed, you can access the client-Assyst application as usual.

All users must complete the migration to the Windows App before 17 November 2025 to avoid losing access to Assyst Software on Azure Virtual Desktop.

Amazon ECR Basic Scanning Update – No Action Required for Wealth Assyst
Starting 1 October 2025, the previous version of Amazon ECR Basic Scanning will no longer be supported. Amazon announced on 6 August 2024 the general availability of a new and improved basic scanning version, powered by Amazon’s native scanning technology. This enhanced version offers better vulnerability detection across a wide range of operating systems, improving container image security.

For Wealth Assyst users:
Our team has already implemented the updated ECR scanning configuration.

Amazon EKS Kubernetes 1.29 Support Ending – No Action Required for UserAmazon EKS will end standard support for Kubernetes version 1.29 on 23 March 2025. Clusters on this version will enter extended support until 23 March 2026, after which automatic upgrades to version 1.30 will begin.

We have received an official notification from Microsoft that Azure Unmanaged Disks will be retired on 30 September 2025. To avoid any service disruption, it is important to migrate all virtual machines (VMs) using unmanaged disks to Azure Managed Disks before the deadline.

Identify any VMs currently using unmanaged disks.
Plan and perform the migration using Microsoft’s official guidance.
Complete the migration before 30 September 2025.

LV has introduced a URL change in their API, which impacts the Contract Enquiry service within Client-Assyst. We have made the necessary updates to our system to support this change. However, if these updates are not deployed, the Contract Enquiry service for LV will not function. If you use the LV Contract Enquiry service, please book a session with our support team to schedule your update.
